Life Story

I was born the day after valentines day during one of the coldest days of the year. I spent my childhood in the county seat of Fulton county, Wauseon Ohio. When I was 9 years old my father, working for The Andersons in Maumee, got promoted; The promotion took us out to Delphi Indiana. At the age of 10 my parents decided it would be best if they divorced and my mother moved back to Ohio. Over the next few years I spent going back and forth living with my father, then my mother. I love them both very much and I hated being away from one or the other. When I was in 8th grade I settled in Lyons Ohio, living with my mother. I attended Evergreen High school taking college prep and standard courses. It was at this time I rediscovered computers and got hooked on the internet. I began tinkering with computer basic, hardware and software. My Senior year I started to look at ways to make money with the knowledge I'd gathered from computers and the internet. I started learning web and graphics design. My first few years of college I took the standard classes along with computer courses.

I met my wife Jackie on June 9th 2001. We got married May 15th 2003, the second best day of my life. A year later the best day of my life came when I witnessed the birth of my daughter, Shelby Rae Gill. She was born July 15th 2004. We lived in our home in West Toledo since 2001 until recently when I joined the US Army at the end of 2005. My first duty station moved us to the island of Oahu Hawaii. I was quickly sent to Iraq where I spent a year in Q-west as a part of Staff in operation of installation for conformance with operational standards for the US Army new Joint Network Node (JNN), and the AN/TSC-167 (V) Satellite Transportable Terminal (STT). Seek, evaluated and utilized technical information from job training and relevant literature as appropriate to achieve the mission.. The goal I set by joining the Army was to improve my job skills for the civilian world, and also finish the degree I started in Graphics Design and/or Web Design.

Back in 1999 during my first year of college I started a Web Design company as one of my projects. I decided on using the name Diamond Sun for the company. To this day I have a site up for this company I created, and I have made websites under its name. One notable site is one I did for Next Day Signs of Toledo. I will continue to make sites under the name if possible. Cloudstrife.com has been an online journal for me in the past. A site to post thoughts, ideas and works I've created. Now its a Final Fantasy Community site, where everyone comes to get and give FF goodies. Before cloudstrife.com I used vampiricsoulz.com as my blog site.

Another hobby of mine is Video Games. I'm quite the gamer, my wife doesn't approve of it because I involve myself in it too much. I play many types, mostly PC games these days. First Person Shooters, Role Playing and MMORPGs among other things. I mostly put my time into MMORPGs these days; my first one being Dark Age of Camelot where I played a Thane (Ragnaruk) and Shaman (Raemus) on Kay Server. I then moved to Final Fantasy XI, which brought two of my favorite things together; Final Fantasy and a MMO. I help start the Linkshell Darkside on Fenrir server with one of my friends, Al Busuego among others. Then World of Warcraft came out, and at that time I was sick of FFXI. I have many characters on many servers in WOW. My most recent characters are Alderic (60 Rogue) and Division (60 Warrior) on Eonar server.
